Is there a recall on my Ford vehicle?

In the unlikely event that we need to recall some of our vehicles for safety reasons, we will send a letter to the registered owner on either the Government's Vehicle Registration database or our own records, this can depend on the market that Ford is launching the safety recall within. The letter will request that the repair work is completed as quickly as is convenient. You can also contact your local Ford Dealership or the Customer Relationship Centre who will be pleased to assist you further.

Alternatively, you can visit https://www.ford.ie/support/recalls and check yourself to see if your vehicle is outstanding any recalls.

Is it safe to continue driving my vehicle?

Unless specifically stated on your letter, you can continue to drive your vehicle, but please do book in with a Ford Authorised Repairer at your earliest opportunity. Once you have been notified of a safety recall that affects your vehicle, it is your responsibility to have your vehicle repaired in accordance with the instructions in the letter provided, at your earliest possible opportunity. Your safety, the safety of your vehicle occupants and other road users may be at risk.

How to Find out About a Safety Recall via Ford Account

If a safety recall notice is issued for your vehicle, your Ford Account will display an alert on its dashboard. It will be a prominent notification on the My Vehicle tile. Click on the tile to find out more information about the issue and book a service with your local Ford dealer to resolve the problem.

You will always receive a letter from Ford about a safety recall. But the Ford Account will show the alert within a few days of its release to dealers, potentially allowing you to take action sooner, even before you receive the letter from Ford. You can book an online service through Ford Account too.

Log in to Ford Account now and make managing your Ford easier than ever.
